Rules – Be an informed coach; know your rules, age division, please.
1. Each squad will have two and one have (2 ½) minutes to perform their routine. The music portion of the routine should not exceed (1) minute and thirty (30) seconds. The music portion may be divided into as many sections as desired and you may use as many songs as you wish. (Ten point penalty for exceeding time.)
All-star squads entire routine must be done completely to music.2. Timing will begin with the first movement, voice, or note of music which ever comes first. There is to be no organized entry or exit.
3. Teams must provide their own copy of music to be used on our sound system. Please have at least one back up tape/CD. Routine interruptions due to failure of tournament equipment will be allowed to start over. You are encouraged to test your music with the DJ prior to competition beginning.
4. We will adhere to National Federation Guidelines for scholastic teams and USASF for Allstars.

INFRACTIONS/PENALTIES: Any team violating a safety rule or regulationwill receive a violation deduction from their final score. This will be
discussed further at the judges meeting prior to the competition.
All penalties are at the discretion of the judges.
6. Decisions made by the judging panel are final and may not be appealed. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is a participant, parent or fan permitted to question or approach a judge on score sheet or legality decisions. Only coaches may ask for
clarification of a ruling/scoring/comment.7. All routines must be performed on the 42 x 42 mat (54 x 42 for all stars).
8. Absolutely no jewelry anywhere; this includes navel, nose and tongue rings! They cannot be taped and must be removed.
9. Only signs, banners, megaphones, and pom pons may be used. No other props allowed!
10. No cheerleader may compete in two competitions with the exception of All Stars (for example, a JV cheerleader cannot compete with Varsity, however, a varsity (for example) cheerleader may compete with an All-Star team).
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF THEIR CHEERLEADERS. DO NOT LEAVE THE CHEERLEADERS UNATTENDED/UNSUPERVISED AT ANY TIME. SHOULD ANY DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS, UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT OR DESTRUCTION OR MISTREATMENT OF THE SCHOOL FACILITIES OCCUR, THE TEAM WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED AND NOT INVITED TO RETURN IN THE FUTURE.
All rules will be discussed in further detail at the coaches’ meeting on the day of competition. Judges will be qualified and impartial individuals representing all facets and styles of the cheerleading realm.
